A Veteran in the Illinois Basin

Rig 11 was purchased new in 1984 and was immediately put into operation. For the majority of its life at Mitchell Drilling, Rig 11 has been operated by David Johnson, a twenty year veteran with the company. Johnson and his crew are considered by many operators as being among the best and most experienced team in the Illinois Basin.

Rig 11 has the depth capacity to work at 5000 feet. As of late, Continental Oil Company of Illinois, Shakespeare Oil, DeMier Oil Company, Vintage Resources, and Brookston Resources have utilized the services of the experienced crew of Rig 11.
